Abstract

  • 13:00-13:40 “For efficiency of providing the teaching materials of mathematical education”, Yoshiyuki Nakagawa (Faculty of Economics, Ryukoku University)
    • If there are the accumulated teaching materials of mathematics education in LaTeX, you can generate a variety exercises from the given random seed with FP package. In this lecture, I will introduce how to modify the LaTeX source. Also, FP package has a good compatibility with AutoMultipleChoice package and TikZ package which are introduced in MSFD XX. So, I want to introduce the cooperation with those packages.
  • 14:00-14:40 “Mathematical Models and Software for Online Advertisement”, Hiroki Mizukami (AI Lab, AdTechnology Division. CyberAgent, Inc.)
    • In recent years, we can see a lot of advertisements on the internet. The pricing of ads is automatically and theoretically determined among vast market composed by campaigns of advertiser, and media of publishers. These systems’ basic principle is based on Game-Theory and Auction-Theory, the strategies are determined by Machine Learning, and the verification is done by Statical Modeling. In this Session, We will show the summary of Online Advertisement with related theories, and softwares.
  • 15:00-15:40 “A C++ library for 3D affine transformation and shape deformation”, Shizuo KAJI (Department of Mathematical Sciences, Yamaguchi University)
    • Affine transformation serves as one of the fundamental tools in computer graphics. As is well-known, affine transforms are represented by matrices. This is computationally efficient, but not always convenient. H. Ochiai and I developed a parametrisation method of affine transforms using the Cartan decomposition of their Lie algebra. Based on this method, we see how one can construct more complex non-linear transformation with applications to shape deformation and animation. The codes used are available at github with the MIT license.
  • 16:00-16:40 “Application of computer algebra and TeX to the education of Mathematics”, Toshio Oshima (Faculty of Science, Josai University)
    • I will explain an application of a computer algebra Risa/Asir to make exercises, answers and materials for the general education of Mathematics at universities. For example, we make problems and answers of exercises for matrices in the linear algebra, 3D graphs of functions with two variables and solutions to problems of indefinite integrals.
